Lithuanian Consumer Institute - non-governmental, non-profit organization - was established in 2000 (LCI)

Main goals of Lithuanian Consumer Institute are: to protect consumers’ legitimate rights and interests, to raise consumer awareness about their rights and to develop projects and programs to this respect.

The LCI is engaged in educational, consultative, representative, scientific activities. They include preparing and publishing books and brochures, TV and radio broadcasts on consumer issues, lectures for consumers, research, organization of seminars and trainings, work with schools and various target groups on topics related to consumer education, investigation and monitoring of consumer opinion on products and services, etc., reports in international, local conferences and seminars (sustainable consumption, e-banking, energy supply, etc.), daily consultations of consumers and professionals on consumer rights by telephone and during special meetings, work in standardisation area, and other activities.
